This week, Code Next 2021–2022 term has come to an end. Congrats to all, we all made it, one way or the other 😅. Next, how may the end of the beginning turn into a new venture?

Making new circles

The 1st app in the Code Next Android Club 2022 Sprint Oakland Lab

Steve Jobs once said: “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward”. So follow your heart & charge into new frontiers. You will then see dots connect into lines. With lines, Coach Joe inspires us to make lines into a circle at Code Next Oakland Lab end-of-year celebration. The journey has been fulfilling because the staffs, coaches, mentors, teaching assistants & seniors cultivate the next generation of tech leaders. So that, there are more lines starting with the right foot. Congrats to the engineers of the 2021–2022 term for the great end of the beginning. All the best for your next endeavors, and hope you find a way to make them into new circles.

Rejuvenating

In the US, high schoolers always surprise me. Most of them have better ideas of what they want to change, and more importantly, they are not afraid to keep trying. For example, Rejuv NFT is founded by Code Next engineers. They are already on a journey to reduce your screen time to save the environment. If you know some high schoolers may be interested, why not point them to apply to join. Even if this is not their thing, that’s fine. They can go to start their own ventures. Let me offer my 2 cents for your venture: 1. solving a problem you care about by making an app you will use, and 2. so that it may make your community better.

Circle of venture

In Silicon Valley, it’s very common to see seasoned innovators grow into angels or mentors to help the new generation of entrepreneurs. In their end, they make better new founders to reach the goals faster. This is definitely not something only happening in Silicon Valley. But, somehow it’s more often in the valley. Maybe there is “the magic in the air”. Or maybe some people are just happier to contribute to others’ success.

I’m lucky to know a group of passionate angels, who don’t accept the status quo and believe the same magic may happen in Taiwan. Taiwan Leap Venture wants to develop more founders from Taiwan and connect them with the world to make a bigger difference. With the incredible experience, insight & connections of the panel of partners, I bet more “flying pigs” are taking off from Taiwan soon 😉. If you are interested, why not contact them to connect the dots or complete circles.
